Day 3 of exploring the 365 Things to Do in Chester County takes us to the Paoli Battlefield where The Paoli Massacre was fought in September 1777.
If you are a history buff, you’ll want to venture through Malvern Borough (yes, it’s in Malvern) to the site of the Battlefield near the intersection of S Warren and Monument Avenue. It is amazing to read the history of The Battle of Paoli and know that you are standing on the ground that armies fought for their lives.
I just so happened to spot the sign pointing to the battlefield while driving down Business Rt. 30 – and I just had to share it with you. The weather was gorgeous and the birds were singing away while I stood on this solemn ground.
