Day 8: East Brandywine Community Park, Downingtown PA

Day 8 of 365 ! It’s time to explore the Downingtown part of parks at the East Brandywine Community Park. What a fun-filled place to be for people of all ages to enjoy! There are trails that most days are well used by walkers, runners, and cyclists. This park is a place I frequent for my runs and I’m not sure I’ve ever ventured the same way twice, it’s nice to be able to select different options based on the people (and whether I want to brave hills

There are also soccer and baseball fields that are busy during season! Actually, the E. Brandywine Park and Recreation Committee recently had new fields installed, they are getting their “growing” in so they are ready for play time. Tennis anyone? They have a few courts where you’ll find it not too crowded.

Playgrounds….? Yes, of course there are plenty of play options for the little ones. There are actually two entrances to the park, both of which have a nice play set. Some swings and slides – what more do you need?

Be sure to inquire if you are planning any events you would like to use the picnic pavilion for – reservations accepted! $50 for residents of East Brandywine and $100 if non-resident. Application and more information is at the township building.
