Day 48: Struble Trail in Downingtown, PA
Looking for a quick getaway? Then head to Struble Trail to spend some time in nature. The trail is a safe place of beauty for walkers, runners, and bikers of all ages. Currently 2.6 miles of asphalt surface, it parallels the East Branch of the Brandywine Creek and provides access to some great fishing. Struble Trail is included in the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and rich in history as part of the Pennsylvania Railroad’s Main Line. 30 Years Preserving Priceless Heritage
Each day on the trail brings a new sight, sound or experience. Wildflowers flourish, chipmunks scurry, geese enjoy a swim, fishermen in the creek, birdwatchers, deer on the bank, and just the sound of silence. Experience the four seasons… Enjoy and then go back again.

There is direct access to the trail from Norwood Rd, off of Route 282 or you can park at Kardon Park on Pennsylvania Ave and walk to the trail.
